Safety Framework
Built on five
non-negotiable rules.
Health information is too important to get wrong. These commitments aren't aspirations — they're architectural constraints built into every layer of the product.
Information, Not Medical Advice
OpenSupport delivers structured health information synthesized from verified sources. Every response includes a clear disclaimer: this is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider.
Minimal Data by Design
The patient experience does not require an account or a stored medical history to answer a general information question. We do not build health profiles, sell data, or use your questions for advertising. The privacy is structural, not a promise.
Neutral Information Architecture
Retrieval and ranking are identical for every deployment, regardless of who funds it. No pharmaceutical company can buy placement, promotion, or priority in an answer. Source selection is driven by evidence grade, and where a manufacturer program is relevant it is labeled as one.
Source Transparency
Every claim in an OpenSupport response is traceable to its source. We show you where information comes from, which credibility grade it carries, and when it was last updated. You can verify everything we present.
AI Guardrails
The system operates within strict boundaries. It cannot generate dosage recommendations, provide emergency medical guidance, or produce content outside its verified source base. When it doesn't know something, it says so.
