About OpenSupport

Health information
should work for patients.

We started OpenSupport because we believed the gap between what patients need to know and what they can actually find was too wide — and too dangerous — to ignore.

The Problem

When a patient is diagnosed with a serious condition, they turn to the internet. They find 47 million search results, contradictory advice, outdated articles, and pharmaceutical ads disguised as information. The people who need clarity most get chaos instead.

Our Approach

OpenSupport doesn't search the internet. We synthesize 7,500+ verified medical sources — FDA labels, NIH publications, clinical guidelines, patient advocacy resources, financial assistance programs — into structured, 12-section responses that cover what actually matters: treatment options, side effects, financial help, clinical trials, community support, and questions to ask your doctor.

What We Believe

Every patient deserves access to the same quality of health information, regardless of their insurance, education, or zip code. Health information should be evidence-based, source-transparent, and free from pharmaceutical influence. Technology should support healthcare, never replace it.

Open Source

OpenSupport is open source. Our source code, our methodology, and our credibility framework are all publicly available for review. We believe transparency isn't just a feature — it's a requirement when dealing with health information.
